The Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/689, supplementing Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament, became applicable on 21 April 2021.
In agreement with this Regulation, information on the collection of samples, techniques, validation and interpretation of the diagnostic methods for Echinococcosis (E. multilocularis and E. granulosus) are laid down in the Manual of Diagnostic Tests and Vaccines for Terrestrial Animals of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
